British International Freight Association Member

Spatial Global is a member of the British International Freight Association (BIFA).

Use all modes of international freight forwarding?

BIFA's role is to improve standards of professionalism within the logistics and international supply chain management sectors, and to provide a focus for the industry.

BIFA is a trade organisation for UK-registered companies engaged in international movement of freight by all modes (air, road, rail and ocean) has about 1400 corporate members. Members adopt a code of conduct, and trade under a nationally accepted set of standard conditions that are backed in the insurance sector.

BIFA's mission is:

"To provide effective representation and support for the UK international freight services industry; to promote good practice and total quality in the provision of freight services by all members; and to encourage the membership to observe the highest standards of professional competence".

Spatial Global has won three prestigious BIFA Freight Services Awards.

The first, the 'Special Services Award' in 2010, recognised its proven ability to provide an efficient freight service when transporting life-saving products for dialysis patients wishing to travel overseas – where delays could, quite literally, make the difference between life and death. BIFA concluded that Spatial Global had made a real difference to people's lives by providing a service of the highest quality.

The second, the 'Project Forwarding Award' in 2013, was presented for the professional manner in which Spatial Global organised the transport of 45m-long lighting masts across the world on a tight schedule. The judges commented:

"Spatial impressed by... co-ordinating the arrival of cargo from multiple destinations to meet a fixed installation sequence with excellent planning".

The third, another 'Project Forwarding Award' in 2019, for a highly complex project handling of oversized components for the Ariane 6 Space Project from multiple countries of origin. The components were shipped to the European spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana.
