The Keswick Enterprises Group Limited, the UK-based logistics and co-packing group founded in 2004 by John Harvey CBE, has appointed 50-year-old Andrew Austin to the newly created position of Senior Executive Officer. At the same time Andrew becomes Deputy Chairman of the Group's Spatial Global Limited subsidiary, where he will support Chairman Mike Wallis and Managing Director Bryan Hindle with the development of its freight, mail, logistics and courier products. Andrew has spent his entire career in logistics, and brings to the business over 30 years of domestic and international senior management experience of the freight and express parcels sectors. His previous roles include Chief Executive Officer for Priority Freight from 2010 to 2013, Vice President Europe for Schneider Logistics from 2006 to 2010, Managing Director Northern Europe for FedEx from 1999 to 2001, and General Manager Network Logistics for LYNX Express from 1987 to 1996. He has lived and worked in the UK and The Netherlands. Commenting on his decision to join the Keswick Enterprises Group, Andrew said: "I have known Keswick’s John Harvey for many years and have great admiration for him and the business. My role now is to support the growth and development of the company's freight and logistics activities – both within Spatial Global and the wider group – initially by focusing on improvements in marketing, sector development and partner relationship management. My goal is to build on Spatial Global's 34 years of successful freight and logistics operations, while retaining its unrivalled reputation for high quality services and exceptional customer support." John Harvey, Chairman of The Keswick Enterprises Group, added: "I am delighted to welcome Andrew into the business. As well as his impact on accelerating the development of Spatial Global, there are a number of forthcoming Group initiatives in the UK and overseas that I am certain will benefit from his valuable experience." Andrew has a BA (Hons) degree in Economics and Psychology from Glasgow Caledonian University. He is married with two children, and will be based at Spatial's headquarters in Castle Donington, near Derby.
