From its Castle Donington hub, near Derby, Spatial Global is providing Practical Publishing International with all its warehousing, import freight and e-commerce fulfilment services

A 'Practical' solution to e-commerce fulfilment

Spatial Global Limited, the United Kingdom-based international delivery specialist, announces that it has entered into an agreement to provide e-commerce fulfilment and freight services to Practical Publishing International Limited – the leading British publisher of craft magazines and books. Practical's publications are available in most UK multiple retailers, along with newsagents and craft stores, across the country and worldwide. Spatial is providing Practical Publishing with all its warehousing, import freight and e-commerce fulfilment services – including pick and pack, mail delivery, express freight and courier. Specifically, the logistics specialist is managing imports from China of Practical Publishing's merchandise, including readers' free gifts. It is taking delivery of magazines and books from printers in the UK and storing them at its hub near Derby in the East Midlands. The company is even responsible for mounting gift items on the front of magazines. In addition, Spatial Global is fulfilling orders from customers received directly via the publisher's retail websites. It picks and packs these orders and despatches them by post all over the world. Bulk orders received from Practical Publishing's sales team are also delivered to exhibitions as required. Chris Dunbar, Finance Director at Practical Publishing International, commented: "Our move to a web order fulfilment warehouse was absolutely key for us, and is already paying dividends. In the few weeks we have been using Spatial's service, we have doubled our magazine back-issue sales, while allowing our e-commerce team to concentrate on getting our offer right without having to worry about managing stock. Over coming months we will be focusing on the sale of merchandise to readers and other customers through our new websites, and on streamlining imports from the Far East. We are confident that Spatial will help us achieve our objectives." Bryan Hindle, Managing Director of Spatial Global, added: "Spatial Mail is providing a one-stop shop for all the e-commerce and freight services required by Practical Publishing International. Prior to this the business managed these activities itself, but growth necessitated that it find an experienced logistics partner to provide outsourced support. We are delighted that it selected Spatial for this activity." Spatial Global is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Keswick Enterprises Group Limited, a supply chain focused business with pan-European transport capabilities plus substantial warehousing and distribution services throughout the UK, mainland Europe and across the world.
