Spatial Global hosts Bank of England breakfast
24th May 2019
Independent freight forwarding specialist Spatial Global hosted agents from the regional office of the Bank of England recently, at a breakfast forum on behalf of East Midlands Chamber (Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire & Leicestershire). It was attended by local business leaders interested in understanding the Bank’s views and thinking on the economy.
The listening Bank!
The Bank of England holds these forums on a regular basis as a way to gather grassroots feedback and gain a better understanding of the economy from a regional business leaders’ perspective.
“The breakfast event was attended by a diverse range of the region’s businesses. When discussing current business levels with the group, it was encouraging to hear several of the businesses had just recorded their best year end results. In the current climate, with Brexit on the horizon, the variety of thoughts and experiences aired rarely referenced the ‘B’ word. However, it was recognised that times were challenging. The challenges being faced were centred around the availability and engagement of people, speed of technology, expectations and cultural change.”

We’re proud to be a Chamber member
“Spatial Global has had a long relationship with the Chamber stretching back a number of decades now. We were its first International member and we’re fortunate to have members of our team sit on several advisory panels. It means we can get involved in events like this and develop relationships with other local businesses.”
