Mr Bingo, Hate Mail and Book Sales!

Verbally and visually abusing people the world over isn't your typical route to success.

A late night Tweet requesting abuse

When Mr Bingo sent a late night Tweet it started a thought process which developed into a highly popular book. At the time Mr Bingo was a successful illustrator working regularly for clients such as The New Yorker, The Guardian, TIME, CH4, The Mighty Boosh & The New York Times. The initial Tweet in 2011 read ‘I will send a postcard with an offensive message on to the first person who replies to this’. The replies started coming in and the Mr Bingo insults began. Over 1000 personal abusive hand illustrated postcards later Mr Bingo has developed his unique reputation as the world’s hate mailist par excellence!

Kickstarter funding, a rap video and sell out book

The initial Kickstarter campaign featured a rap video which we've included on our website, and the initial book Hate Mail: The Definitive Collection was first published in November 2016. With hard back cover, high production quality and showcasing 156 postcards from the Hate Mail project, each selected by the artist, the book has been a huge success. Mr Bingo has quit his illustrator job, and now makes his living creating art and selling it online, plus, speaking and performing. Hate Mail: The Definitive Collection has been followed up by as second print run which has also sold out!
