Publishing Mail for packets being withdrawn by Royal Mail in April

Publishing Mail is the Royal Mail service for sending volume mailings of periodical items such as magazines and journals. Until April 2023 the service is available for packet format mail but this aspect of the service is being withdrawn from 3rd April. After this date only large letters will qualify.

Announcement will impact publishers of heavy magazines

Sorted services were withdrawn for packets on most Royal Mail services around a decade ago, but until now Publishing Mail remained an exception. This is now changing and will impact any publisher with magazine titles weighing over 750g who have previously relied on the discounted Publishing Mail rate.
